Kat’s fight with JCOPE begins over 18 months ago…

Kat Sullivan V. JCOPE

Since 2018, JCOPE (The Joint Committee on Public Ethics) has engaged in a campaign of targeted harassment and intimidation against Kat Sullivan because she dared to exercise her right to free speech.

For the past two years, Kat has been caused undue stress and detriment to her health and business because of the frivolous law suits JCOPE had brought against her for declining to register as a lobbyist while working to help pass the landmark Child Victims Act.

Besides actively working with the Government Justice Center, Kat has written letters to Electeds to begin an investigation into JCOPE, as well as created protest art and staged demonstrations (including singing her own rendition of Frozen in the December 2019 JCOPE meeting.

In December, The Government Justice Center filed a lawsuit in the New York Supreme Court against JCOPE for Violating Kat’s First Amendment Rights.
