THE KEEPER IS A
SPIRIT GUIDE
The Keeper is an intergalactic helper who transcends worlds to help Survivor tell her story. The Keeper is a non-binary being who has access to Survivor’s riddle box- the protective shell around her inner thoughts and feelings. The Keeper can read and translate what is inside the box when she is unable to. They are also able to cast spells to help survivor feel more empowered and eventually to be able to share her story in her own words.
Pre-production:
The Keeper’s costume is based on a David Bowie in Labyrinth character meets a Ziggy Startdust vibe. As an intergalactic being, the Keeper’s costume needed to be bold and readiate the powerful healing of love. They are a spiritual guide who spreads truth, kindness and empathy to help amplify Survivor’s message. The costume was designed to be created in vinyl materials and shiny fabrics with that futuristic superhero with an awesome mystical shoulder piece created using feathers and branches.
